Democracy is the form of government that is made by the people of that country. People in the democratic country have the right to elect their own representatives and enjoy liberty, fraternity, secularism, and equality. The government is made by the decision of the majority. The people of the country enjoy all the freedom and fundamental rights. The rights are guaranteed and protected by the government on the violation.

A dictatorship is a form of government in which there is the rule of a single person or group of people. It does not accept the diversity of interests and people. The people of the country directly or indirectly elect their representatives. They are monitored by people. The government is formed taking into account the welfare of the citizens of the country.

The people of the democratic nation can express their ideas and opinions on different policies. There are rights and liberty which are granted to every citizen of the nation. The government cannot cheat the people as it will be dissolved by the decision of the people.

  • Dictatorship

The dictatorship form of government has all its powers centralized in a single person or political party. The ruling person is termed as a dictator. The dictator is only the person to make rules and guidelines for the people of the nation. The total powers are vested in one person or a single political party. The person confers their interests and choice on the people. The people of the country cannot do any kind of objection rather accept the policies.

The people of the nation having dictatorship type of government do not have any kind of liberty i.e. freedom of speech.
