Short and Long Speeches on Sardar Patel Jayanti

Today we have prepared here some sets of Speeches for you dear students and hope you will find them useful.

Speech on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel: the Iron Man of India

Good Morning everyone respected Principal Sir, teachers, and my dear friends. There was a day when Indians were not allowed to gather at a place. It became possible just because of independence. Today I Riyan of class 2 is going to recite my speech on one of our great freedom fighters Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

There is an Iron Man in Hollywood movies but very few know the real Iron Man who was an Indian. Yes, it was Sardar Patel known as the Iron Man of India, but very few of us know about it. The Iron Man in Hollywood movies helps people on screen but our Iron Man brought freedom for us.

Sardar Ji was born on 31 October 1875 and was one of the most important pillars of India’s freedom struggle. He was one of the senior leaders of the Indian National Congress and was elected as the first Deputy Chief Minister of independent India.

He was from a poor family but was very good at his studies and completed his graduation in Law, from London. Although he was the Deputy Prime Minister, his decisions were far better than others. He was fascinated by Gandhiji and followed his thoughts. He was bold and sharp-minded. He had all the qualities of a true leader and will always be remembered for his contribution to Independence.

Speech on Sardar Patel: the Symbol of Unity

On this auspicious morning of the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, I wish all of you a very happy good morning. Today I Keerti of class 4 is going to deliver my thoughts on Sardar Patel the symbol of Unity and hope you will like it.

All of us know about our freedom struggle but there are very few who can really understand the pressure and torture people faced. It was like a guest who visited your home and now he behaves like a boss. All of us struggle in our lives but when it is a nation in trouble then no one can remain happy.

Different scenarios have been described in different books describing the thriller and fear among people at that time. India was a country that was ruled by various dynasties and meanwhile, Britishers came secretly and changed the entire scenario.

Today we are celebrating one of the famous heroes of that time and he was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel; a strong, brave, intelligent, prominent leader of the freedom struggle. He is known as the symbol of unity because he was the person who brought the entire nation together. He personally visited each and every state and urged people to unite and ‘The One India’ dream got possible just because of him.

He strictly followed Gandhiji and promoted people to adopt ahimsa. He had a solution for every situation. He also had respect for every religion and never mistreated people as per their religion. He was a very down-to-earth person and never boosted his abilities.

After independence, he was appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister at a time because people were aware of his thoughts and decisions making power. He was very sharp-minded and use to handle things very easily. Even Gandhiji was aware of these things and use to ask his views sometimes. He was a true gem and there should also be a holiday on his birthday.

After 70 years of independence, our government thought about it and made a statue of unity as a tribute and was inaugurated on the 31st of October in the year 2018. Apart from his statue, we should also encourage children to learn leadership qualities from him.

At last, I would like to end my words with a salute to Mr. Sardar Ji a Leader, Minister, Writer, Brave, Intelligent, and a very true patriot of India.

Thank You!

Speech on Sardar Patel Jayanti

Today on the occasion of Sardar Patel Jayanti I wish all of you a very independent good morning. It sounds a bit different but it is a fact that when we were slaves, we were not so free to address these many people at a time. So, I would like to thank all the freedom fighters who bought this day for us. Today, I Riya of Class 8 is going to tell you some unknown facts about one of the freedom fighters Sardar Patel on his birthday.

We know Gandhiji, Nehruji, and many other famous leaders and we also know Sardar Patel but not so deeply. Today I will tell you some facts about him starting from this small example as we know Dhoni is one of the best Cricketers but he cannot win the match alone, he needs a team, a good bowler, a good fielder, etc. Similarly, it is not only some famous names who bought freedom for us. There are many with their unmatchable contribution and Vallabhbhai Patel was also one of the famous milestones.

He was born on the 31st of October in Nadiad, Gujarat, and was a barrister by profession. He was inspired by Gandhiji and decided to join politics. He was brave and sharp-minded and was also well mannered and a down-to-earth person. It will be not wrong if we say he was more capable than Nehru Ji in terms of education, taking a decision, making a plan, or anything else but Nehru Ji was a world icon and was found more suitable to represent India on a universal platform.

In 1925, farmers in Bardoli Gujarat were suffering the torture of Britishers and the taxes were raised up to 30%. When Vallabhbhai Patel heard about it, he supported farmers and asked them not to pay a single penny. He followed the Satyagraha and there was no violence anywhere still they won and the Britishers agreed to reduce the taxes. The farmers very happy and they gave the title of Sardar to Vallabhbhai Patel. This was his first fight against Britishers and after this, he never stopped.

After this, there was a time when all the leaders gave up and it was Sardar Ji who decided to bring India together. Actually, the entire nation was divided into various parts and was ruled by various Kings. Sardar Patel alone visited different states and united all of them to form a complete nation. Even Gandhiji found it difficult and he assigned this work to Sardar Patel.

He raised his voice every time whenever there was violence or anything wrong. He was bold and use to work as a leader. He never hesitated to support something if it was right. He was famous for his quick decision-making power. Even he opposed some rules strongly in the making of the constitution. He was one of the pillars of the freedom struggle.

There is a lot to learn from Sardar Patel, he was visionary and already warned not to share borders with China. Today on the occasion of his birth anniversary let us pledge to at least learn one of his qualities and practice it for a year and on his next birthday just analyses yourself. We are so fortunate to have so many amazing personalities in our history and we should really learn the real meaning of patriotism from them.

Apart from the titles like Sardar, Iron Man he was also known as Unifier of India and our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi announced and also made the world’s largest statue of Sardar Patel on Sardar Sarovar Dam, Gujarat. It is 182 meters high and was a tribute to him on his birth anniversary in the year 2018. This statue reminds us of his contribution and the rich history of India.

And with these words, I would like to end my speech. Thank You!
